There was some discussion of the plane and the cameras, but it was mostly about the mission and the political effects. They did have some pretty good footage, including a color film of a U2 getting destroyed by a SAM. The other show was A&E's "First Flights with Neil Armstrong". This episode was about supersonic jet fighters. It covered the F-100, F-102, F-101, F-4, F-16, F-15, F/A-18, YF-22, and F-117 (in that order). Nothing too exciting, but somewhat interesting. I'm leaving to go home to Cleveland for the holidays today. I'm planning a trip to Wright-Patterson AFB. Any requests or recommendations? As an aside, I told my parents that I thought it was odd that I had never been there (we lived in Cleveland until I was 7 and moved back later). They pulled out pictures of me in front a few displays and planes. I was 5. Well, enough blabber. Have a Happy Holiday and a Happy New Year. - -tom -------------------------------------------------------------- | Thomas P. I got my Mach 1 catalog yesterday, and I'd thought I'd just confirm with you guys that 'Sled Driver' is worth the cash, before I rush out and send off for it. It looks like a good read, is that opinion shared by the knowledgeable people on this list? :) Also, the book called 'Mach 1: The Art of Aviation Photography' (or something like that) that is listed in their upcoming releases looks very good - will they send me another catalog automatically when it comes out or do I have to ask them for another one?
