The newspaper described it as Darth Vader's helmet but I am beyond letting anything that newspaper says irritate me anymore. It also said that its primary function was fleet air defence, but it will only have SAMs and no CIWS. Of course knowing this newspaper that's probably crap. Unit price is $69million (not sure if that is A$ or US$ though). I had to laugh when it said that it was just completed and was the latest stealth development, considering it is pre-YF22 and probably pre-B2 judging by its faceted appearance. - -- ______ _____________ ______________________ ______ /\####/\ / / / / /\####/\ / \##/ \ /_______ / / _ ______ / / \##/ \ /____\/____\ / / / / \ \ / / /____\/____\ \####/\####/ / /____\ \_/ / / /_______ \####/\####/ \##/ \##/ / / / / \##/ \##/ \/____\/ /_____________________/ /____________/ \/____\/ agbrooks@teaching.cs.adelaide.edu.au ------------------------------ From: sp2stes1@caligula.his.se (Stefan Skoglund) Date: Fri, 30 Apr 93 10:11:48 +0200 Subject: Satellite tracking program Hmm, what I need is something like TRAKSAT but for OpenLook or plain vanilla X. - ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Stefan Skoglund I "Viggen | i tiden *)" sp2stes1@sun5.his.se, I _____/0\_____ University of Skoevde, Sweden I ___________[|(.)|]___________ - --------------------------------I -+- O -+- I I *) Viggen with two Rb04 ------------------------------ From: "Philip R. Moyer" Date: Fri, 30 Apr 1993 08:24:17 EST Subject: Satellite tracking program [X11] Somebody wanted an X11 based tracking program: There is a public-domain satellite tracking program available for anonymous ftp from harbor.ecn.purdue.edu in the file /pub/davy/xsat1.0.tar.Z. Remember to transfer the file in binary mode. This software is unsupported and is available as-is. It was written by Dave Curry, a co-worker of mine. We use it here all the time. It can provide postscript sky tracks and ground tracks, for those who want to track a particular object.... Have fun. Philip R. I prefer STSPLUS since the graphics are much better and the program is updated and improved about every six weeks. You can get both program plus a large collection of elements at 310-541-7299. If you want to subscribe something other than the account the mail is coming from, such as a local redistribution list, then append that address to the "subscribe" command; for example, to subscribe "local-skunk-works": subscribe skunk-works-digest local-skunk-works@your.domain.net To unsubscribe, send mail to the same address, with the command: unsubscribe skunk-works-digest in the body.
