He has a Black 16 oz. coffee mug that has a 22 ct. gold embossed picture of the SR-71 on one side with AF Detachment Crests around it. On the other side is a short history of the Jet and a listing of its world records with the dates. The gold band on the top reads "Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird". The gold band on the bottom lists the AF Bases it was assigned to. He also has it in a Frosted glass 20 oz. tankard mug. Either one of these mugs will make you the envy of your co-workers. It is a sharp looking mug. They are not dishwasher or microwave safe. I told him I belonged to a group of Blackbird enthusiasts, so our price is $15.00 + $2.25 shipping for either mug. Get a group order of 5 or more and you get free shipping. He accepts credit card orders. He has an extensive catalog of aviation "16 x "20 prints of every aircraft for $5.00 each. They are VERY nicely done. I was especially impressed by the "frosted glass" version... but for some reason I didn't grab any, even though Lockheed only wanted $10.95 for them at the time. (of course the Burbank Skunk Works facilities are now pretty much empty) >Either one of these mugs will make you the envy of your co-workers. >It is a sharp looking mug. They are not dishwasher or microwave safe. I should think not! The best place for them would be up on a nice shelf somewhere, perhaps next to a good collection of Blackbird books. :-) - -dean ------------------------------ End of Skunk Works Digest V3 #48 ******************************** To subscribe to skunk-works-digest, send the command: subscribe skunk-works-digest in the body of a message to "listserv@harbor.ecn.purdue.edu".
