Back in the late 50's, done by a USAF F-102 at Selfridge AFB Michigan. Our F-14D crews have progressed beyond that kind of thing now. They now concentrate on winning dogfights! Anytime Baby! I seem to have misplaced the publishing info on Crickmore's new SR-71 book. Could some kind soul repost it? Alternatively, is there a good source for it, so I don't have to convince B. Dalton to order it? Dalton to order it? Yes. I got my copy from Zenith Books in Wisconsin. The title: "Lockheed SR-71 - The Secret Missions Revealed"; by Paul Crickmore Zenith No: 118777AE; $29.95 Toll Free Zenith USA and Canada Phone No: 1-800-826-6600 Overseas Call: 1-715-294-3345 They are also advertising the following additional title: "Aurora - The Pentagon's Secret Hypersonic Spyplane" by Bill Sweetman Zenith No: 118921AP; $9.95 Available 7/15/93 Since I haven't yet gotten my copy of "Aurora", I suspect they are late on shipment from the publisher. I haven't seen "Aurora" yet so I can't personally recommend it yet. From the price, it looks like it will be somewhat 'thin'. As is the information on this subject. But I can't say till I see it. Larry Smith ------------------------------ From: larry@ichips.intel.com Date: Wed, 21 Jul 1993 14:22:39 -0700 Subject: F-117A Literature Alert I've just uncovered another interesting issue of Lockheed Horizons that has some interesting F-117A stuff in it. It also features the YF-22 as well (on the cover). Lockheed Horizons, no. 31, Aug. 1992 (this is NOT the "We Own The Night" issue). Articles: "Fundamentals of stealth design", pp 6-12; by: Alan Brown "Computational methods for stealth design", pp 13-17; by: Vaughn P. Cable "Development of the F-117 stealth fighter", pp 18-23; by: Paul W. Martin "Stealth and the changing role of electronic warfare", pp 25-29 by: Gary W. Way I intend to summarize these articles for skunk.works.
