Check out the back cover of the Nov. 1993 issue of Military Modeler. A real nice painting of the new Testors SR-75 + XR-7 is there. The art portrays a mated SR-75 + XR-7 combination climbing out. This artwork was nicely done compared to the box art on the existing SR-75 kit available in high volume kit stores (Testors kit no. 4078). Best we can tell so far, kit no. 4078 is NOT being sold yet in Hobby Stores. John Andrews told me that this artwork was done by Italieri, and when Testors saw it they said "Hey we can use that in advertising!". This is NOT the box art for the newer higher part count Testors SR-75 model or the XR-7 Thunder Dart, that WILL be available in Hobby Stores (maybe it will the the box art for the Italieri kit however - who knows). By the way, the newer SR-75 Penetrator (Testors kit no. 568) and the new XR-7 Thunder Dart (Testors kit no. 567) should be out by the end of October. According to John, the XR-7 instruction sheet is done and the models are being run as we speak. The new higher part count SR-75 instruction sheet was just sent to the printer and its runs are scheduled to begin very soon. So if you want some nice artwork that shows conceptually what the 'Aurora' is all about, or you're trying to convince your local Hobby Shop that for the past several months you DID know what you were talking about, check out the back of the Nov. issue of Military Modeler.
