Well, my first advise for everybody is to buy it from Amazon.com-$21.00 plus 4 S&H. Also, the "Stars and Stripes" pict was published in a magazine....about 4 to 6 months agao. (And I've had a representaion on my site for about the same length that I created with no visual aids.) I was pretty impressed with myself when I opened the book and saw that pict for the first time :) Overall, the Crickmore book is GREAT. When it comes to the Testing and interviews, this book is amazing. In my opinion it's 50/50 on the picts....50% are amazing, and 50% are old rehashes. The same with the non-test flight related info in the book-50% is good, 50% is ok rehashed, there are sections that are just the same old same old. HOWEVER, the book is worth it JUST for the test flight history. Gripes: 1. Sometimes there are awesome captions...that are matched with generic pictures. Othertimes, the new picts have matching captions. Occasionally it is hard to tell if the pict with the 1983 bomb drop testing is from 1983 (authintic), or 1993 (Stock). A tad annoying and misleading if you ask me. I would have prefered the author to say "This picture is not the testing that happened in 1983 that I'm talkimg about". There is one pict that talks about 1983 testing, but shows a -117 in Holoman (1992) markings. (This isn't the only case, just one that sticks out in my mind). 2. Also, info is rehashed. The Nose ARt is the same that appeared in Team Stealth and We Own the Night, the Desert Storm Missions are available online (Declassified reports), and were retold in Stealth Fighter Pilot. (I just gt finished getting the two above things ready to go onto my site-hopefully this week) Some people haven;t seen those books before and don't realize that info isn't brand spanking new. The Bandit listing.....I'm impressed. However, I have him beat by six months ;) (I'm slowly adding pages to my website) Still, good work there. Overall........BUY IT FOR THE TEST FLIGHT INFO, INTERVIEWS, AND NEW PICTS. The other stuff is good, but not as spectacular. - -Kevin Helm PS_I'm only 100 pages into the book so far. First off - thanks Andreas for the reviews. Glad to know I can save the $2.95 (snicker) and apply it toward the $29.95 item. This is one aspect of the list that I've always enjoyed, namely, good reviews and pointers to various books that are related to this domain. I've ended up buying numerous books (and avoiding an equal number) based upon what the knowledgeable members of this list have said. I'd really encourage others to provide their reviews when they encounter books that would be of interest to member of this list. Also, I enjoy hearing what projects certain terrific authors are up to (e.g., Jay Miller, Paul Crickmore), and when said work will be available. This is entirely reasonable. It's a fairly common operating procedure not to fit the pyrotechnic devices into the pylons that permit stores (i.e. equipment attached externally to the aircraft) to be jettisoned in flight. High value items such as electronic countermeasures pods, reconnaissance equipment (including cameras and electronic sensors), data link pods, weapons aiming pods (such as thermal imaging and laser designating pods) often have the ability to jettison them disabled to prevent inadvertently releasing them. (Combat aircraft have a "clear all pylons" option that releases stores in the event of an emergency. With avionics pods costing millions of pounds sterling it's understandable that there's some reluctance to run the risk of dumping them on a back-of-beyond moorland somewhere.) Closing roads is a safety precaution in the event of an undershoot. There are a number of airfields that have sections of road that are in line with runways with sets of traffic lights and no-parking zones to prevent vehicles standing in hazardous areas. "Store" is a generic name for a device attached externally to a military aircraft. It can be almost anything from a free-fall bomb or a fuel tank to a more complex piece of equipment such as an avionics pod, flight refuelling pod, towed target, trailed low frequency antenna, etc. Some of the ultra low frequency communications systems, of the type used to maintain contact with submerged submarines, can trail an antenna wire up to ten thousand metres (yes, ten kilometres!) long. Large stores, including flight refuelling pods that trail probe-and-drogue hoses cannot be jettisoned. If the hose reel motor fails and the hose itself cannot be jettisoned then the safety precautions described above would be put into effect at the receiving airfield. Aircraft that report "hung" weapons (rockets, bombs, etc.) that have failed to release when commanded, also require certain safety precautions to be observed when the aircraft lands, since the touch-down impact could trigger the store or weapon to operate or deploy. If you follow the instructions exactly, the results WILL undoubtedly be SUCCESSFUL! · ABOVE ALL, HAVE FAITH IN YOURSELF AND KNOW YOU WILL SUCCEED! ********************YOUR SUCCESS GUIDELINE******************** Follow these guidelines to help assure your success: If you don't receive 10 to 20 orders for REPORT #1 within two weeks, continue advertising until you do. Then, a couple of weeks later you should receive at least 50 orders for REPORT #2. If you don't, continue advertising until you do. Once you have received 50 or more orders for REPORT #2, YOU CAN RELAX, because the system is already working for you, and the cash can continue to roll in! THIS IS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER: Every time your name is moved down on the list, you are placed in front of a DIFFERENT report. You can KEEP TRACK of your PROGRESS by watching which report people are ordering from you. If you want to generate more income, send another batch of e-mails and start the whole process again! There is no limit to the income you will generate from this business! NOTE: If you need help with starting a business, registering a business name, how income tax is handled, etc., contact your local office of the Small Business Administration (a Federal agency) for free help and answers to questions. Especially the rule of not trying to place your name in a different position, it won't work and you'll lose a lot of potential income. I'm living proof that it works. It really is a great opportunity to make relatively easy money, with little cost to you. If you do choose to participate, follow the program exactly, and you'll be on your way to financial security. Sean McLaughlin, Jackson, MS The main reason for this letter is to convince you that this system is honest, lawful, extremely profitable, and is a way to get a large amount of money in a short time. I was approached several times before I checked this out. I joined just to see what one could expect in return for the minimal effort and money required. To my astonishment, I received $36,470.00 in the first 19 weeks, with money still coming in. Sincerely yours, Phillip A. Brown, Esq. I had received this program before. I deleted it, but later I wondered if I shouldn't have given it a try. Of course, I had no idea who to contact to get another copy, so I had to wait until I was e-mailed another program...11 months passed then it came...I didn'tdelete this one!...I made more than $41,000 on the first try!! D. Wilburn, Muncie, IN This is my third time to participate in this plan. We have quit our jobs, and will soon buy a home on the beach and live off the interest on our money. The only way on earth that this plan will work for you is if you do it. For your sake, and for your family's sake don't pass up this golden opportunity. Good luck and happy spending! Charles Fairchild, Spokane, WA I am nearing the $90,000 mark from this program.I have used several forms of advertisement.I used regular mail and bulk e-mail. The regular mail that I used was very expensive for two reasons. I purchased a very select list of names and the postage. The third time I sent e-mails out,I did so in the quantity of 1 million. So, after 3 times participating in this program I am almost at the $90,000 mark. That isn't too bad. I hope the same success for you. . Good Luck. Raymond McCormick, New Cannan, Ct.
