Have we all seen this - any thoughts anyone ? http://www.lockheedmartin.co.uk/us/news/features/2013/sr-72.html David --------------------------------------------------------------- From: Deacon Greg Weigold Subject: Re: Re: SR-72 Date: 11-04-2013 My first reaction was, "Its fast enough alright, but can the "enemy" make surface to air missles that could catch it? and how fast can they deploy them?". My second reaction was, "Its unmanned?!?!", but then I realized that probably means that thousands of pounds worth of life support can go into fuel reserves, equipment, etc. And for the most part, remote operation is almost without problems these days. So why not? My final thought was, "If we're telling the "enemy" that we're building this, and what the rough specs are, they can have an interceptor missile ready before we get them built!!" Where's the "black-ness" in this program? I agree with John, its likely to get axed before they can even get preliminary drawings finished. We've run the debt up so high its almost impossible to get things like this through the budgeting process.
